New York-based developer Naftali Group is building 89 luxury condos as part of Williamsburg Wharf,
a master-planned property on the shore of the East River in Brooklyn.
The 22-story tower is the first of five towers with 850 residences the developer plans on the 3.7-acre property near the corner of Kent and Division avenues, together with retail space and enhanced outdoor amenities. Pricing for a studio in the first building will start at $710,000, Naftali said in a
statement, with units of up to three bedrooms available. The developer is partnering with investment firm Access Industries on the project that Naftali says involves the last developable property on the water in the Williamsburg neighborhood.
Residents will have access to a number of private amenities at One Williamsburg Wharf, including a library, cinema, catering kitchen and coworking spaces. Outside, they’ll be adjacent to the publicly accessible Williamsburg waterfront pedestrian and cyclist path. A pedestrian boulevard featuring a sculptural public art piece will connect Kent Avenue to the waterfront.
Williamsburg Wharf is adjacent to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where the Dumbo and Williamsburg neighborhoods meet. Commuters can travel to Manhattan by boat from the South Williamsburg Ferry Terminal and via the J, M and Z subway lines.
Naftali is crossing the river to Brooklyn after completing a pair of recent condo projects in Manhattan, including The Benson and The Bellemont on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side. The firm is also developing two mixed-use projects in South Florida, including the recently launched JEM in Miami.
“We haven’t wavered on our commitment to New York City since the last residential cycle and are proud to reinforce that today,” Miki Naftali, the developer’s chairman and chief executive officer, said in the statement.
Brandon Haw Architecture is designing One Williamsburg Wharf’s residential interiors and also prepared the master plan for the overall five-tower development. SERHANT is handling sales and marketing for the project. Construction of One Williamsburg Wharf is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2025.
